Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime, felony accessory in Watkins murder

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 9:33 a.m., a 25-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to the 900 block of 5th Street to keep the peace. At the same incident, a 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense. Bail for the woman was set at $1,000 and bail for the man was set at $3,000.

At 1:17 p.m., Keith Gearhart, 30, was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary warrant, felony fugitive from justice and failure to appear after he turned himself into Carson City detectives. Gearhart was wanted in connection with a residential burglary in a Carson City home in December. Bail was set at $20,850.

At 5:11 p.m., Keenan Blackmore, 19, of Carson city was arrested on suspicion of felony conspiracy to commit a crime and two counts of felony accessory to a felony after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 3100 block of Otha Street. Blackmore was arrested in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Grant Watkins on Jan. 11. Bail was set at $75,000.

FRIDAY

At 3:37 a.m., a 59-year-old transient woman was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Edmonds Drive SlotWorld. Bail was set at $150.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
