Northern Nevada Development Authority announced two new appointments.
Andrew Haskin is the organization’s new director of business development, and Susannah “Susie” Russell is the new director of marketing. Both assumed their new positions on June 20.
Haskin has been NNDA’s director of marketing and communications since 2014. He holds a bachelor of science in business administration-management and marketing and a master of business administration, both from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Russell has worked for NNDA since 2012 as finance and office manager. She holds a bachelor of arts in business and marketing from Grand Canyon University.
“With the start of its new fiscal year underway, NNDA, in addition to its vibrant business attraction efforts, is expanding its focus on assisting existing companies in the Sierra Region with their growth and viability,” said Robert Hooper, NNDA executive director. “Andrew and Susie have the experience and skills to help achieve our business objectives. I am excited to see this advancement within our organization.”
Northern Nevada Development Authority is the recognized Economic Development Authority for the Sierra Region of Nevada which is comprised of Carson City, Churchill County, Douglas County, Lyon County and the Comstock District. The agency is a nonprofit organization funded by the state, the counties and cities within the region and through donations from Investor Partners comprised of businesses in the communities NNDA serves. Since 2010, NNDA has had the economic impact of over $1.7 billion in the Sierra Region and assisted 68 companies with their relocation to Northern Nevada.
