Carson City area senior lunch menus for July

Note: Menus for week of July 11 subject to change without notice. Choice of beverage included.

Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Dr.:

MONDAY: Egg and cheese omelet on croissants with sausage patties, vegetable juice, peaches and muffins.

TUESDAY: Open faced chicken sandwiches with gravy, peas and carrots, pears and sherbet.

WEDNESDAY: Seafood Louie salad, sourdough bread with margarine, Jell-O with mixed fruit and scones. 

THURSDAY: Sweet and sour chicken, steamed brown rice, peas and carrots, spinach salad, assorted dressing, whole wheat bread and oatmeal date bars. 

FRIDAY: Baked meat loaf, mashed potatoes, steamed spinach, lettuce and tomato salad, assorted dressing, whole wheat rolls, apple butter and fruit cups.


Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

MONDAY: Stuffed cabbage casserole, mixed vegetables, whole wheat rolls and spiced pears.

TUESDAY: Clam chowder, turkey sandwiches, baby carrots, celery and fresh fruit cups. 

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, spinach salad, garlic bread and pears with Jell-O.

THURSDAY: Chicken Parmesan, spinach noodles, California blend vegetables, orange and spinach salad, toasted bread sticks, fruit cocktail and apple juice.

FRIDAY: Honey mustard chicken, scalloped potatoes, carrots and peas, whole wheat rolls, margarine, apricots and cookies.


Douglas County Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane:

MONDAY: Breaded chicken breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, garden salad, bread, grape jelly, apricots and oatmeal cookies.

TUESDAY: Chef salad, turkey, ham, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, hard boiled eggs, dinner rolls, grapes and banana nut muffins.

WEDNESDAY: Baked ham, Waldorf salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, Capri vegetables, dinner rolls and carrot cake with vanilla ice cream.

THURSDAY: Deli roast beef sandwiches with provolone cheese, spaghetti salad, cantaloupe and red, white and blue Jell-O.

FRIDAY: Fish tacos, frijoles churros, honeydew and cantaloupe.


Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Ave.:

MONDAY: Chicken enchilada casserole, refried beans, cauliflower, green salad, dressing and fruit cocktail.

TUESDAY: Chili, corn bread, mixed green salad, low-sodium and low-fat Italian dressing and ambrosia.

WEDNESDAY: Breaded fish squares, tartar sauce, rice pilaf, coleslaw, whole wheat bread, pears and cookies.

THURSDAY: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, whole wheat rolls, margarine, apricots and cake.

FRIDAY BREAKFAST 9:30: Egg and sausage bake, oatmeal and apricots.


Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way:

MONDAY: Chili cheese baked potatoes, steamed carrots, banana muffins and blueberry yogurt.

TUESDAY: Marmalade glazed chicken, rice pilaf, Asian vegetables, corn bread and cherry crisp.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti squash blend, salad, garlic biscuits and pudding.

THURSDAY: Pastrami and Swiss on rye, macaroni and cheese, vegetables and peach cobbler. 

FRIDAY DINNER 5 p.m.: Steak, baked potatoes, salad, garlic bread and tiramisu.
