Carson City Grocery Outlet Independence From Hunger Food Drive benefits FISH

Carson City Grocery Outlet’s 6th annual Independence From Hunger Food Drive continues throughout July.

Grocery Outlet has teamed up with Friends In Service Helping (FISH) and will be collecting donations now through the end of July that will go directly to FISH.

Participating is easy:

Look for specially-marked items. These are items FISH has identified as “high-need” items. Purchase these products and then place in the collection bin at the front of the store.

Pick up a pre-made bag that is filled with an assortment of the groceries that have been identified as needed.

Make a cash donation at the register. Donations will go directly to that store’s local food agency partner. Donate $1, $5 or round up your change.

Pick up information at a Grocery Outlet store about hunger, food insecurity and local/national resources for people in need. Be informed and willing to help.

“This annual giving campaign is a flagship effort of Grocery Outlet when we encourage our customers and employees to donate food and money to the most needy children in our communities,” said Grocery Outlet Inc.
