On Tuesday, on the floor of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald forgot Carson City is the state capital of Nevada.
“On behalf of the most entertaining capital city in the country, Las Vegas,” he said as Nevada was awarding its delegates during the nomination of Donald Trump as Republican nominee for president.
McDonald’s mistake was quick to make it on social media, with even well-known comedian and late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel tweeting about McDonald’s mistake moments after he made the statement.
