Patra Corporation recently hosted a red-ribbon cutting ceremony at Fallon training and processing center.

Though the office opened in January the official ribbon cutting for the facility was held to coincide with first training group’s graduation from the program. The event included a meet and greet with Patra’s CEO, John Simpson, a ceremony celebrating the trainees’ accomplishments and an open house at the office. A proud new member of the Fallon Chamber of Commerce, Patra opened its doors to the local business community to share its goals and plans as the company continues to invest in its new Fallon location.

Patra’s vision for the Fallon facility began more than two years ago when it became apparent that Patra needed to address the nationwide shortage of quality talent in the insurance industry. The Fallon facility is part of a pilot program aimed at developing a pipeline of trained insurance professionals who can work with Patra to support its nationwide client base of insurance agencies. The vision became a reality due to the hard work and dedication of many Patra employees and the dedicated staff recruited in Fallon.

By choosing Fallon and utilizing both its local workforce and the spouses of military personnel stationed in Fallon, Patra is able to execute this unique program. The brick and mortar training facility enables Patra to provide a learning environment critical to the training of new insurance professionals. Once licensed, those professionals will work remotely from home, or in the case of military spouses, take their careers with them wherever they may move.

“We’re excited to open this facility in Fallon. We could not have asked for a better place to launch our first training facility,” stated Beverly Tyrrell, Senior Director of Global Training and Development, who instructed the trainees throughout the program. “We’re proud of what we’re building and believe that our initiative, starting in Fallon, will provide a stable income and flexible career option for residents of rural America and for those who, because of military commitments, need to move frequently.”
