Brigade Commander Major Michael Allgeier fires a Parrot Cannon for Hardy’s Confederate Battery during the Battle Born Civil War Re-enacters 3 p.m. show at the Nevada State Fair Saturday at Mills Park. The 3-inch barreled 1862 vintage cannon could fire a round up to 1.5 miles and was towed by 6 horses.
