Two Schurz residents were injured on June 10 when their car overturned on U.S. Highway 95 near mile marker CH14.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the driver, Mary Guererro, 50, was traveling south when the green Hyundai Accent veered across the northbound travel land and went off the highway.

A passenger, Brian Banks, 32, and Guerrero were ejected from the vehicle. Care Flight transported both individuals to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

The NHP said the crash is still under investigation.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday morning at about 1 a.m. when he went off the highway and was ejected.

The NHP said Kristoffer Carpenter was riding a 2001 Shadow Honda motorcycle on U.S. Highway 50 between Fallon and Sand Mountain near mile marker CH39.

Care Flight transported Carpenter to Renown.

The NHP said the crash is under investigation.
