Building on its June “Go4Baroque” Summer MusicFest kickoff series, TOCCATA — Tahoe Symphony Orchestra will continue its 21-concert Summer MusicFest with the TOCCATA BOPS series featuring best of Broadway, opera, pops, and patriotic selections.

The first concert is at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 3 on the Village Green in Incline Village as part of Red, White and Tahoe Blue. Brad Perry and Emzy Burroughs will sing of everlasting friendship in Bizet’s duet from his opera, the Pearlfishers, while sopranos Joy Strotz and Becky Earl and mezzo soprano, Liudmila Mullin will delight the audience with operatic arias and popular songs.

The concert continues with hits for the TOCCATA Summer MusicFest chorus: Amazing Grace; the Going Home theme from Dvorak’s 9th Symphony; and “Alleluia-Regina Coeli” from Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana. The concert concludes with Sousa’s Stars and Stripes, a new Matt Mullin arrangement of God Bless America, and an audience sing-a-long of America the Beautiful featuring the newly formed North Lake Tahoe Children’s Chorus.
