Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Two arrested on suspicion of three counts of possession of a controlled substance

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 7:56 p.m., Ashley Noriega, 19, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana under the age of 21 and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Oak and Snyder. At the same incident, Brian Perez, 18, of Carson City, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana under the age of 21, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a suspended sentence. Bail for Noriega was set at $11,000 and bail for Perez was set at $12,000.

THURSDAY

At 12:25 a.m., an 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies observed a suspicious vehicle at the William Street Community Center. Bail was set at $3,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
