Linda K Carpenter, age 67, long time resident of Fallon, Nevada, passed away on February 23, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah, while awaiting a liver transplant. Linda was born September 30, 1948 in Spokane, Washington to Michael and Rose Dolan. The eldest of seven surviving siblings, Mike Dolan, Lee Dolan, Scott Dolan, Ray Dolan, Terry Dolan and Roisin Leen. At age six her mother passed away and her father remarried her beloved stepmother, Marge Denny. She moved to Fallon in 1965 and graduated from Churchill County High School 1966. She worked for her father as a waitress at Stockman’s and it was there she met the love of her life Jimmy D. Carpenter. They were married for 47 years until his passing in 2014. She raised two sons, Patrick (Leanna, fiance) and John (Darcy, wife). Linda enjoyed family, camping, her beloved dachshunds and remained a devout Catholic throughout her life. Linda was an inspiration to her family as well as many others, who were touched by her kindness and immense ability to give. She exemplified love in all of her actions. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, March 4th at 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Saturday, March 5th at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fallon. A reception will follow services at the church. Tuesday, March 8th will be the burial at the Fallon Cemetery at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Catholic Church Parish Hall.
