Remember Everyone Deployed, or RED, is hosting a packing party from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Carson Mall to support soldiers in the United States Military.
The event, whose attendees are invited to writer letters and send care packages to soldiers, is sponsored by the RED Club, which was created in August by Carson City’s Delaney Mott for her Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn.
The club’s purpose is to bring the community together to show soldiers that, although they are deployed away from home, they are still loved, appreciated, and respected. For more information, call Mott at 775-443-8956.
