Mom peacefully passed away into the arms of the love of her life on Valentine’s Day 2016. Mary was born in Redwood City California to alter A. Wentz and Carrie Wentz. After graduating from Sequoia High School, she married Joseph Pardew, who was in Lighter than Air Squadron 3 attached to Naval Air Station Moffet Field. She and Dad were married for 72 years. Mom and Dad raised three sons Daniel, Allan, and David. Mom especially loved visits with her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was active in assisting her husband Joe, who was a general contractor in California and Nevada. She was a great mom and wonderful homemaker who gave us an preciation of the beauties of nature. She enjoyed outdoor activities and picnics with her family in the Coast range above Redwood City, Lake Tahoe, and the Nevada desert. She was an avid gardener and planted many types of flowers. She particularly liked cultivating irises. Mom and Dad enjoyed square dancing and traveled to many square dance events, where they were very popular. When she was not assisting Joe in their business, Mary worked as a cashier in gift shops and grocery stores. She continued working as a volunteer at the Senior Thrift shop after they retired. She resided with husband Joe in Nevada for over 45 years and enjoyed many visits to and from her brothers and sisters. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joe, son Allan, and nine brothers and sisters. We are sure that there is joy in Heaven at her arrival. Memorial will be at a later date
