Nevada Appeal at 150: Jan. 19, 1975: Digging into Carson City’s newest park

In cooperation with Dominic Oxoby, Carson City parks superintendent, Andy Andrews, construction superintendent for Southwest Gas arranged this trench-tunnel to be dug under a sidewalk to lay lines for lights at the new Ross Gold Memorial Park south of town. Working are Lee Mason, Southwest, kneeling; Andy Allen, assistant park superintendent; Byron Fillmore, Southwest; Duane Carroll, Southwest and Roy Richard, parks employee. The Southwest Gas staffers donated their time.
