Wild Horse Children’s Theater is hosting auditions for Disney’s “Aladdin, Jr.,” which will be staged on weekends from July 1-10 at the Carson City Community Center.

Auditions — by appointment only — are from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14; and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16 in the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall, 511 W. King St. For an audition slot, call 775-887-0438, or email pat@wildhorsetheater.com.

Those auditioning are asked to bring a recent photo and a one-minute-or-less song with accompaniment music on CD or a media device. No background vocals are permitted. Auditioners also will be taught a dance, so they are asked to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and arrive promptly to fill out forms.

Rehearsals will be from 4:15 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Not everyone will be required to be at every rehearsal, and those auditioning will be asked to list any rehearsal conflicts.

The production features the well-known songs from the Academy Award winning film. Flying by Foy has been hired to fly Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie and the Magic Carpet. More information and the cast breakdown is at www.wildhorsetheater.com.
