Nevada Appeal at 150: Dec. 28, 1965: Highway Patrol debuts new look

Recent surveys conducted in other western states indicate the sight of a law enforcement vehicle by a driver has a psychological effect on his or her driving, causing him or her to watch his or her road manners a bit closer. This is the reason for clearly marking all Nevada Highway Patrol vehicles, according to the superintendent.
