The PUPS up for Parole will be parading through Virginia City this weekend in celebration of Easter. Join Nevada Humane Society and its adoptable dogs as they step into spring with the Easter Bonnet and Pet Parade at noon Saturday.

Bring your furry — and not so furry — friends to stroll along the main drag of Virginia City, and remember to don your favorite bonnet for the festivities.

PUPS is a Nevada Humane Society program that pairs qualified inmates from the Warm Springs Correctional Center with dogs. Its goal is to help dogs that have behavioral challenges receive training and behavior modification so they can be placed for adoption.
