Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Men arrested on suspicion of armed robbery

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

TUESDAY

At 5:05 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and contempt of court after deputies attempted to serve an unrelated temporary order for protection near the 900 block of Nevada Street. Bail was set at $1,050.

At 7:54 p.m., Shelby Essex, 19, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and an arrest of a probationer warrant after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 2700 block of Lompa Lane. Bail was set at $5,500.

At 11:39 p.m., Shawn Felix, 26, a transient was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery with a deadly weapon, felony conspiracy to commit robbery and felony battery with a deadly weapon after deputies responded to reports a man attempted to rob a couple in their car at gunpoint at the South Carson Street Veranda View Motel. Also arrested were Raymond Mann, 28, a transient, on suspicion of felony conspiracy to commit robbery and alternative sentencing and Tarron Evans, 30, a transient, on suspicion of felony conspiracy to commit robbery, felony ex-felon in possession of a firearm and a failure to appear warrant. Mann and Evans are suspected of being in the getaway car. Bail for Felix was set at $90,000, bail for Mann was set at $23,000 and bail for Evans was set at $40,250.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
