Basic dog obedience programs planned in Carson City, Dayton

Guy Yeaman is offering basic dog obedience programs in Carson City and Dayton.

Dayton Valley Dog Park is hosting the program from 10 to 11 a.m. Sundays from April 10 through May 22. Register from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the first class.

Yeaman is teaching another basic dog ovedience program in Carson City from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 12 through May 17 at Fuji Park, across from Costco. Register with Carson City Recreation at www.carson.org/ccpr.

The six week courses costs $80. Each dog needs a training collar (choke chain, Halti, Martingale, harness, etc.) and a leash 4-6 feet in length. Dogs must be current on all shots through rabies; written record must be shown at the first class.
