Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Woman arrested on hit and run accident

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

MONDAY

At 2:48 p.m., Gissell Resendiz, 26, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run causing injury, failure to maintain travel lane and duty to render aid to vehicle accident after deputies responded to reports of a vehicle accident near Saliman Road and Long Street. Deputies found Resendiz near Rand Avenue and William Street after initiating a traffic stop. Bail was set at $40,540.

At 8:49 p.m., a 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of domestic battery near the Hospital Way Hampton Inn. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 11:19 p.m., a 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the Highway 50 Gold Dust Casino. Bail was set at $500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
