Tibetan monks from the Gaden Shartse Monastery will be visiting the Brewery Arts Center on Sunday, April 3 to present Removing Obstacles, an event that promotes inner healing through Dharma talks, meditations, and cultural rituals.

The monks are on a two-year Sacred Earth and Healing Arts of Tibet Tour for World Peace. They are visiting the area to share their culture of Tibetan Buddhism.

Meditation: Patience and Compassion begins at 10 a.m., followed by an introduction to Buddhism at noon and a Chay Drol Healing Ritual at 7 p.m.

The monks will be accepting donations to fund the construction of the Phukhang College House at Gaden Shartse, which houses more than 600 exiled monks in the Tibetan Refugee Zone in India.

Other events are planned Monday through Wednesday at the Blue Angel Cafe in South Lake Tahoe. For more information and a schedule of events, go to www.SacredArtsOfTibetTour.org, or email Melanie@TibetanHeart.org, or call 775-586-9125.
