Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of possession, sales of a controlled substance

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 4:42 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to reports of a domestic battery near the 2800 block of Pinebrook Drive. Bail was set at $2,000.

At 4:59 p.m., Joey Garcia, 31, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony sales of a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance after deputies initiated a stop near the South Carson Street Shell Gas Station. Bail was set at $10,000.

At 10:23 p.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and speeding after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the Fairview Drive Lowes. Bail was set at $2,690.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
