After a fierce, years-long battle with crippling diseases, Susan Elaine Peterson passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 10th. Born in Tacoma, Washington, to a military family, Susan travelled over the world before settling in Carson City in 1986, raising her son, Scott, and serving the State of Nevada as a supervisor at the Department of Transportation. She met her husband, Joe, a native of Carson City, in December of 1990, and they married two years later, eventually moving to Dayton. Susan retired in 2013 and spent much of her time traveling with Joe in their RV, seeing the country and visiting family. Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Joe, her sons Scott and Andrew, her brother William, sister, Cynthia, nieces, Jessica and Alyss, her two granddaughters, McKenna and Madison, and her beloved Chihuahuas, Pistol and Bullet. May Susan rest in the arms of her loving God. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on April 30th at Autumn Funeral and Crematory in Carson City.
