Albert Augustino Mussi, 90, lifelong Fallon resident, passed away on May 7, 2016 at home, after suffering a stroke, with his family by his side. Albert was born on April 13, 1926 to Nathaniel and Mary Mussi. He attended Churchill County Schools. On June 6, 1964, he married Delores Cassinelli and dedicated the rest of his life to raising a family and ranching in the Old River District. Albert was born, spent his entire 90 years working, and passed away on the family ranch homesteaded by his grandfather. His two loves were his family and his work and he took great pride in both. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was most at home on horseback and continued to buckaroo until his late 80’s. Albert is survived by his children, Steve and Linda (Paul); grandchildren, Angela and Daniel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Delores; his parents; and his brother, Lloyd. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 850 W. 4th Street, in Fallon. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the church, with burial in the family plot at the Churchill County Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Albert’s name to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 850 W. 4th Street, Fallon, Nevada 89406 or to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home in Fallon 423-8928.
