Striving Readers aims to help Members of the Club read at or above grade level and identifies Members who may need additional help. For more information, visit bgcmasonvalley.org.
Summer Brain Gain
In order to combat the summer learning loss that an estimated 43 million children suffer from during time off from school, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America created the Summer Brain Gain program. Comprised of 17 one-week learning modules, the Summer Brain Gain Program takes a project-based approach with Members learning through discovery, creative expression, group work and a final project. With modules across all grade levels, Summer Brain Gain ensures that children develop higher-order thinking skills keeping them on track for the coming school year.
