Ben Justin Gillard of Carson City died October 23rd. Born on March 19, 1957 in Oakland, CA.
Ben lived in the Carson Valley since 1984. He worked in law enforcement, retiring last year as Chief Investigator for the State of Nevada Division of Insurance. He participated in many local musical groups.
Ben is survived by his Mother Yvonne Gillard, his children, Catherine Howell and Justin Gillard, his daughter’s husband, United States Army Captain Christopher Howell, Jr., their children, and Ben’s grandchildren, Cyrus and Kira Howell, his dear friend and former wife Sue Gillard, sister Andriette Gillard and brother Mark Gillard.
His service is on November 5th with visitation at 10am and memorial at 11am, at the LDS Church, 891 Mahogany Drive, Minden, NV 89423.
