Journalist and author Frank X. Mullen will present a second program about the 10,600-year-old mummy of Spirit Cave Man found near Fallon, as the first program on Sept. 30 sold out.

Mullen has done extensive research into Spirit Cave Man and has written about the topic since 1996. The Spirit Cave Man is the oldest human mummy found in North America. It was discovered in 1940 in Spirit Cave, 13 miles east of Fallon, by Sydney and Georgia Wheeler. According to Mullen, those remains and others found elsewhere in the Western Hemisphere could rewrite the history of the human occupation of two continents.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at the Gold Hill Hotel. Dinner is 4-8 p.m. Tickets are $25 for dinner and show, and $10 for show only.

Reservations are recommended but not required. Call the hotel at 775-847-0111.
