Two members of a the Friendship Force, a cultural travel exchange, will share about their recent trip to England at the next Carson City Natives & Newcomers meeting.
The event is at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at Firkin & Fox, 310 S. Carson St., where the club also will choose members of two needy families for gifts. Also on the agenda is the club’s upcoming bake and craft sale.
Attendees are invite to bring anyone who might be interested in the organization or meeting new people. The charitable group provides Braille cards to be sent free to individuals by request, schools, senior centers and disabled veterans. The club also provides scholarships for nursing and high school seniors, as well as many local charities.
