The Mannequin Challenge is a viral competition sweeping across the internet, and students of Western Nevada College took part in it Tuesday afternoon.

The idea is to create an action scene while remaining frozen. For students and club organizations of WNC, they chose a school spirited theme supporting positive and hopeful thoughts.

Despite high winds, students dressed up in colorful accessories and clothing, and held up signs with positive mantras such as, “Worry Less, Smile More” and “Let Dreamers Dream.” The WNC Veterans Resource Center, American Sign Language Club, Associated Students and Wildcats men’s soccer team also participated.

“We saw it as an opportunity to bring students and faculty together,” said Wildcats soccer coach Ian Hill. “Sometimes there doesn’t need to be an objective to do things. It’s just about coming together and building trust. The WNC family is positive in today’s day and age, and we’re living life positively.”
