Reno man arrested after car, foot chase, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 8:35 a.m., a 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a possible fight near Highway 50 and Airport Road. No bail was set.

At 10:11 a.m., a 35-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies initiated a pedestrian stop near Brown Street and Highway 50.

FRIDAY

At 3:27 a.m., Russell Gatewood, 33, of Reno was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a motor vehicle, felony eluding an officer, felony trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer, driving on a revoked license, fictitious registration, basic speed, possession of marijuana, failure to appear and hit and run after deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop near I-580 and 5th Street. Gatewood attempted to flee from deputies to Fairview Drive and Idaho Street, he hit a parked vehicle in the Fairview Drive Lowe’s parking lot and fled on foot. Deputies caught Gatewood near the 1900 block of California Street. Bail was set at $59,270.

At 5:20 a.m., Jordan Rogers, 21, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony interference with a victim to report a crime and destruction of property after deputies responded to reports of an unknown problem near the 3100 block of Minonee Lane. Bail was set at $5,500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
