Carson City Community Spotlight: CHS bowling team rolls to victory

Carson High’s bowling team knocked off Galena, 30-15, Monday at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno.

Dustin Floyd led the way, rolling a high game of 268 and a 633 series. Matt Hinton bowled a 224 and 607. Ray Ceragioli was next at 225-546 followed by Conner Bell 210-538, Chesney Minor 192-531, Jessica Mathieson 198-526 and Rylan Fancher 186-517.

Lily Irvin rolled a 168 and Dean Poppenga had a 166.


Thanksgiving sale at Carson Valley

Carson Valley Golf Course is holding a Thanksgiving weekend sale with 30 percent off all apparel.

The sale is from Nov. 24-27. The course is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Thursday the course will close at 2 p.m.

2017 Ranch cards now on sale

Genoa Lakes Ranch cards are now on sale.

Through the end of the calendar year, you can purchase a Ranch card for $350, which gives you 10 rounds of golf after noon, including cart.

Starting Jan. 1, the price goes up to $399.

Eagle Valley open on Thanksgiving morning

Eagle Valley Golf Course will have tee times from 8 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. The golf shop will be closed at noon and carts must be in by 3:30 p.m. to allow staff to enjoy Thanksgiving with their families. Normal shop hours will resume on Friday.

Cost on Thanksgiving will be $28 for the East Course and $33 for the West Course. All players will receive a breakfast burrito.
