Adam Robertson is the newest member of the Lahontan Valley News team, covering sports as well as general community news.
Robertson is a Northern Nevada native who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a minor in writing from the University of Nevada, Reno. He has worked for several newspapers in California and Montana since graduating, but his heart has always been in The Silver State. Robertson said he is ecstatic to be back with hopes to stay for a long time to come.
When it comes to writing, Robertson enjoys covering all sports, though especially basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball; he is looking forward to covering The Greenwave as they go through the remainder of the 2016-17 seasons. He said he also enjoys covering the arts as well as community events and interest pieces.
Robertson said is he excited to get to know the Fallon community as he makes the area his new home. While not much of a skier, he loves snow sports, walking and bicycle riding and holds a deep appreciates for all Northern Nevada has to offer.
“We’d like to welcome Adam to Fallon and I am sure he will enjoy this exceptional community and its people and what it has to offer,” said Editor Steve Ranson.
Outside of work, he also likes drawing, reading and playing video games.
