Brewer to offer insight on beer making Oct. 21 at Gold Hill Hotel

Brewmeister Adam Lundy of the Virginia City Brewery and Taphouse, which distributes its beers and ales all over the region, will offer samples and a program on successful beer-making.

Lundy will give beer aficionados buckets of advice and information on how to make a great beer or ale at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Gold Hill Hotel. Dinner at the hotel’s Crown Point Restaurant is from 4 to 8 p.m.

The cost is $25 for the dinner and show and $10 for the show only.

The hotel is at 1540 Main St., Gold Hill, just one mile south of Virginia City on SR 342. Reservations are recommended by calling 775-847-0111.

Upcoming presentations include: Pat Kealy’s The History of Divorce in Nevada on Oct. 28; Lara Mather’s The Historic Fourth Ward School on Nov. 4; Frank Mullen’s Spirit Cave Man on Nov. 11; Cowboy Poetry with Harold Roy Miller and Tony Argento on Nov. 18; and an evening with McAvoy Layne as Mark Twain on Nov. 19. The Mark Twain event costs $49.95 for the dinner and show; reservations are required.
