Mrs. Sevilla Donahue, Mrs. Ruth Kelly and Miss Sadie J. Grant were hostesses at a Thimble Club party Tuesday night. After a short business meeting, which was presided over by President Beatrice Wilson, the remainder of the evening was spend playing five-hundred.

A convicted murderer who was recently fired from his job at the state Controller’s Office was forcibly subdued and arrested this morning about a block away from the Capitol Complex with a .38-caliber revolver in his coat pocket.

Trent Dolan is the son of Bill Dolan, who wrote this column for the Nevada Appeal from 1947 until his death in 2006.
