The Carson City School District board will vote Tuesday on a plan to fund construction of energy conservation projects for district school facilities.
The resolution before the board proposes an installment purchase agreement with a term of 20 years to finance the cost of acquiring, constructing, improving and equipping energy projects in the district. The maximum cost of the proposal would be $7 million.
A spokesman said the agreement would be repaid from the district’s funding including the general fund in amounts of up to $517,600 a year.
The board will consider the plan in a public meeting starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Carson City Community Center’s Sierra Room.
