Louie Venturacci, life long resident of Fallon, NV. passed away on September 7, 2016, in Fallon after an incredible journey through life. He was born on May 11,1928 in Fallon, son of Edurado and Penelope Venturacci. Louie graduated from Churchill County high school, and after graduation, married Lelia Venturacci. Louie was a farmer and rancher in Fallon and Battle Mountain, Nevada and later became a real estate developer. During that time he served on the Churchill County School Board as well as the Board of Directors for Production Credit Association. Louie was most at peace in the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Louie’s biggest love in life was an opening deer or elk season, with his family and good friends. His passion for hunting and fishing took him over much of the North American Continent, where he made countless acquaintances and lifelong friends. As an avid sheep hunter he had taken his grand slam and was a member of the North American Grand Slam Club. Louie was a great dancer, incredible hunter, and a special kind hearted man. One of his signature attributes, was his captivating smile and thumbs up. This was very commonly seen at the rodeos. His love and passion for rodeoing with his children and grandchildren took him across much of the United States. He will be missed by those that knew him and especially by those that hunted with him throughout the country. Louie is survived by his brother, Eddie; sons, Steven Venturacci, Randy Venturacci; daughter, Christi Wong along with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Louie’s life will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at The Gardens Funeral Home at 11:00 A M. Burial to follow at Churchill County Cemetery.
