Jennifer Bailey, age 47, of Carson City, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Jennifer was an elementary school teacher in Silver Springs and Dayton, for 22 years. She was born and raised in Southern California before moving to Carson City with her husband in 1990. Jennifer lost a tiring, 15-year long battle with breast cancer on September 6th. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her loving heart, fighting spirit, and love of life, which was only surpassed by her love for her family. Often, against all odds, Jennifer fought to live a full life. Knowing each day was a blessing, her tenacity and grit always pushed her to fight the good fight. Through it all her big smile could light up a room.
She is survived by Chuck, her devoted husband of 27 years; her daughters, Lauryn and Circe; her son, Tristan; her mother, Diane Beeson; her half-sister, Paula Mathews-Hansen; and in-laws, Otis and Betty Clamp.
A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held at Mills Park, Pavilion B, on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Family, friends, and anyone who has fond memories of her are welcome to attend.
