Terrence Frederick “Terry” Knight

Terry Knight, 68, of Carson City, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 5, 2016. He was born April 17, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri, and was an only child. He graduated from Oak Park High School in Kansas City in 1966. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Georgetown University, and a Master’sDegree at Colorado State University. He moved to Carson City in November 1978, and worked at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), beginning in 1978 as a Supervisory Outdoor Recreation Planner.He retired in May 2007. He especially enjoyed traveling all over the world and loved the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frederick T. Knight and Virginia Kious. He is survived by his companion, Lisa Buder, Carson City; and his cousins, Steve Kious, Phoenix Oregon, Adrian Kious, Eugene Oregon, Keven Kious, Greenwood Village, Colorado, David Kious, Prairie Village, Kansas, Ken Kious, San Diego, Jeff Kious, Overland Park, Kansas, Steven Whipple, Kansas City, and Kay Boyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 24, 2016 at 3:00 PM at The Old Globe, Terry’s favorite watering hole for over 30 years. Tropical attire is suggested.
