The driver of a Nissan sport utility vehicle involved in a collision on Kingsbury Grade died from her injuries, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.

Kingsbury Grade is likely to remain closed for as long as two hours after a collision that resulted in injuries to four people on Friday afternoon.

The vehicle vs. motorhome collision was reported at 1:21 p.m.

Firefighters from Tahoe-Douglas and East Fork responded to the collision, which involved a fire.

Firefighters extricated two people from the wreck.

The wreck involved a Nissan sport utility vehicle and a motorhome, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. Both the people who were extricated from the wreckage were transported by helicopter in critical condition.

Douglas County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Bernadette Smith said three patients were transported by air ambulance, and two patients by ground ambulance.

Nevada Highway Patrol Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the accident.
