The Churchill County School District Board of Trustees will meet tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the Old High School auditorium (“The Pit”).
Items for discussion and possible action include the following:
Discipline and Attendance Uniform Subcommittee report regarding school uniforms.
Report on the Nevada School Performance Framework.
Determine the date for a strategic planning facilitator to meet with stakeholders to create the district’s mission and vision statements.
The Student Academic Support Program for Churchill County High School.
Approval of the tentative budget for the year ending June 30, 2018.
Yvonne Nevarez-Goodson, executive director of the Nevada Commission on Ethics, will give the board training on the ethics in government law; for example, duties to disclose and abstain from voting when a board member has a conflict of interest requiring disclosure or abstention.
In closed session, the board will discuss negotiations and strategies regarding the Churchill County Administrators’ Association, Churchill County Education Association, and the Nevada Classified School Employees Association.
