Two volunteer positions are open on the Carson City Planning Commission, the body that oversees all matters of planning, zoning, land use and growth management in the city.

The commission meets monthly at 5 p.m. on the last Wednesday in the Sierra Room of the Community Center.

Applicants must be willing to serve 12-16 hours a month. Each term will expire in June 2021.

The Board of Supervisors will interview and appoint volunteers, who must be Carson City registered voters to qualify.

Applications may be obtained from and returned to the Carson City Executive Offices, 201 N. Carson St., Suite 2.

The deadline to apply is May 19, and interviews will be held at the Board of Supervisors meeting on June 1.

The city’s boards, committees, and commissions policy and procedures can be viewed at www.carson.org/volunteer.
