RENO — Cameron Oliver’s career at Nevada appears to be over.

Oliver texted a Northern Nevada paper on Thursday and said he plans to hire an agent, although he hasn’t done so yet. Once Oliver hires an agent, his college career is over. If he changes his mind, he can test the NBA Draft waters until June 12 before coming back to Nevada for his junior season.

Oliver averaged 16.8 points and 8.7 rebounds a game in helping Nevada to the Mountain West Conference regular-season and postseason championship. Nevada made its first NCAA appearance in 10 years this season, losing to Iowa State in the opening round.

Two draft websites have Oliver going between 42nd and 47th. One site has him going to Utah and the other to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Oliver told the Sacramento Bee last week he has coach Eric Musselman’s full support.
