Henrietta Elizabeth De Wolf of Sandy, Oregon passed away peacefully on July 14, 2017 at the age of 82. She was born February 12, 1935 in Bell, California to Luke Arthur Blood and Clementine Violet Van Dorn.

Henrietta was a long-time resident of Sandy, Oregon where she retired from the AEC Corporation. She was also a 11-year resident of Carson City, Nevada, where she had a successful career as the payroll and HR manager of the Ormsby House Hotel and Casino.

She was area director and coach for Nevada Special Olympics culminating in representing Nevada at the 1995 Special Olympics World Games. She had a lifelong love of gardening. She was a prolific master seamstress making over a thousand Hawaiian shirts, dolls, aprons, and various sewing and needlework projects for family and friends. She was confirmed in and a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald De Wolf, son Eric DeWolf, and granddaughter Taylur DeWolf.

She is survived by 5 children, Deborah (Robert) Kennedy, Leif (Karen) De Wolf, Esther (Christopher) Cauch, Harry (Grettel) DeWolf, and Alex De Wolf; 12 grandchildren, Jamie, Kelli, Asher, Ryan, Erin, Jennifer, Lisa, Zachary, Allysa, Leif, Austin, and Luke; and 12 great-grandchildren, Nadia, Colin, Emma, Mason, Aiden, Rylan, Austin D., Austin C., Maximilian, Charlie, Josephine, and Reese.

At Henrietta’s request, no formal funeral service will be held but we will have a family celebration of her life at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to any Special Olympics organization.
