Tibetan Buddhist monks from the historic Nechung Monastery in Dharamsala, India, are returning to Carson City next week.

The monks will be holding healing services in the ballroom at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St., at 7 p.m. on Monday and Thursday.

On Monday, the Venerable Nechung Rinpoche will conduct a teaching on compassion, followed by a compassion meditation and prayers for world peace.

Thursday’s event will focus on Medicine Buddha and health blessing for the healing of body and mind for all sentient beings.

Both events will be followed by a question and answer session.

The monks will also be holding events at the Camp Richardson Boathouse in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday and at Camp Galilee in Glenbrook on Wednesday.

The visit is hosted by The Nechung Buddhist Center in collaboration with Tibetan Heart and the Sierra Friends of Tibet.

All are welcome and a $20 donation is suggested, but no one is turned away for not being able to donate.
