Twenty teams participated in this year’s Thanksgiving Holiday Classic basketball tournament.

The co-ed teams were comprised of students in grades 1-3, 4-6 and 7-8. Teams from Fallon were joined by teams from Yerington, Schurz, Wadsworth, Nixon, Silver Springs, Dayton, Owyhee and Bishop, Calif.

The tournament doubled as a fundraiser for the Churchill County High School boys’ basketball team with money raised going toward travel and outfitting expenses for the season.


1st-3rd Grade Division

1st Place — Fallon Wildcats

2nd Place — Lil’ Warriors

3rd Place — Little Serpents

MVPs: Drake Rowlett and Kalaya Downs

All-Stars: Takoda Pacheco, Lakota Casey, William Darrough, Saydee Whistler, Quentin Isom and Maysiah Rarick


4th-6th Grade Division

1st Place — Pyramid Lake Young Guns

2nd Place — Stillwater Hoops

3rd Place — Bad Medicine

MVPs: Anthony Winters and Jasmyne Torres

All-Stars: Johnnie Williams, Taetum Bill, Jaidon Counterman, Skai Shults, Lennon Williams and Rayana Atkins


7th-8th Grade Division

1st Place — Warriors

2nd Place — Little Serpents

3rd Place — NV Natives

MVPs: Eric Bobb and Reanna Thomas

All-Stars: Sean Two Hearts, Tania Two Hearts, Tyler Blankenship, Naliyah Jenkins, Nicholas Marrietta-Goade and Deja Gopher
