Robert “Bob” Wayne Roach Jr, a long time resident of Fallon, Nevada passed away on December 13th at the age of 89.


Bob was born in Melrose, Kansas to Wayne and Anna Mae Roach. He was a 1946 graduate of Columbus High School. After serving in both Korea and Viet Nam, he retired after serving 26 years of honorable service in the US Marines.


Upon his retirement, he worked at NAS Fallon and Kennametal.


Bob was never one to sit idle, he was active within the community for many years. He was a member of the Marine Corp League, the VFW, Fallon Elks Lodge, the FRA, and the American Legion.


Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Masami; children, Michael (Ana) Roach of Corona, CA, Michelle (Ronald) Gridley of Ewa Beach, HI, Suzette (Ronald) Carlisle of Fallon, Steven (Janice) Roach of Fallon; grandchildren, Robert Roach, Lauren and Mark Gridley, Kristine Carlisle, and Emily Roach.


A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at The Gardens Chapel.


Inurnment will follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV at 1:30 PM.


A Gathering will follow inurnment at the American Legion Post 16, 90 N. Ada St., Fallon.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the City of Fallon Animal Shelter.
