Colin Ross and his jazz quartet will step back into the romance of the 1930s, taking from the song books of Porter, Gershwin, Carmichael, Ellington and Irving Berlin, for an evening of live music on Feb. 11 at Piper’s Opera House.
Doors open at 5:30 with the performance beginning at 6 p.m. The event includes dancing, champagne punch, gourmet appetizers, chocolate-dipped strawberries, roses and a no-host bar.
The evening of romance is a benefit for the historic opera house in Virginia City.
