The following cases were heard in the Tenth Judicial District Court before Judge Thomas Stockard.

A bench warrant was issued for William Charles Boske after he failed to appear in court. He was being arraigned on charges of unlawful use or being under the influence of a controlled substance. During the proceedings, public defender Jacob Sommer was notified that Boske was trying to come into court but had run into difficulties.

Linda Leeanne Lawrence pleaded no contest to charges of possession of a controlled substance. Sentencing will take place in April. Lawrence was directed to take part in drug court programs until the appointment.

James Earl Millus pleaded guilty to charges of the manufacture, importation, possession or use of a deadly weapon or firearm; according to court testimony, he was found to have a set of brass knuckles in his car during a DUI stop. Millus’ prison sentence was suspended and he was put on probation.

Proceedings in the case against Jamera Legados Cortes were continued for four weeks after a change in defense counsel; the new defender required more time to prepare their defense.

Agnes Gayle Gent pleaded guilty to driving under the influence on the third or subsequent offense.

Sage Jeff Johnson pleaded guilty to driving under the influence on the third or subsequent offense. Sentencing will take place in May and Johnson was ordered to apply for the DUI diversion program.

Daphnie Marie Chandler was sentenced to 19 to 42 months in prison for charges of obtaining a credit or debit card or use of a credit or debit card without permission; she was also sentenced to 24 to 48 months for charges of burglary. The sentences will run consecutively to an additional sentence out of Washoe County.

George Benjamin Pangan was sentenced to 24 to 70 months in prison for charges of attempt to commit burglary. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation.

Brandon Michael Pascual pleaded guilty to charges of trafficking a controlled substance. He was found in possession of heroin.

Austin Lynn Barnhart pleaded guilty to charges of statutory sexual seduction after having sex with a 13 year old; according to court testimony, he was unaware of the juvenile’s age at the time. Sentencing will be held in May.

Jeffrey Scott Kelsey pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance. She will be sentenced in May.
