Christina Louise (Wilkerson) Cocking passed away February 11, 2017 from health complications.


She was born in Reno, NV to George D and Lolita C. Wilkerson May 19, 1961.


She was married to Martin T. Cocking on October 25, 1980 in Carson City, NV. They have 2 daughters, Ashley (Cocking) Nixon and Katie (Cocking) Hoff.


Christy loved her family and her multitude of friends and they all loved her back. Christy never met an animal that she didn’t love, especially cats and dogs. Anyone who knew Christy would say she was smart, witty and had a way of making people laugh.


The main focus of Christy’s life was her service to Jehovah God. She enjoyed her ministry, she was an artist and loved decorating her house and loved her flower garden.


Christy was preceded in death by her mother, Lolita Wilkerson; step-brother Andre Quintero.


She is survived by her husband Marty Cocking; daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Kyle Nixon; daughter and son-in-law Katie and Michael Hoff; father and mother George and Joan Wilkerson; brother and wife Mark and Kim Wilkerson; brother Mathew Wilkerson; step-brother Michael Quintero; step-sister Michelle Quintero; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Chris and Sue Cocking; brother-in-law Frank Cocking; sister-in-law Lori Holt and brother-in-law Lenny Holt; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins; and the members of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witness whom she dearly loved.


A memorial service of Christy’s life will be held at The Kingdom Hall, 706 E. College Parkway on March 4, 2017 at 1:00pm. A reception will follow to Celebrate Christy’s Life.
