Commission to receive Enel update on Lawrence Lane glare

The Churchill County Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday at 8:15 a.m. in the chambers at 155 N. Taylor St.

The commission will consider and take possible action regarding the following:

Approval of vendors for new software system to replace ADS.

Approval of election software and hardware upgrade with current vendor, Dominion Voting Systems, for voting machine upgrades in the amount of $220,475 which will be made in two payments.

Approval of the contract between the county and state Housing Division for tenant-based rental assistance funding for $7,000 as a HUD supportive housing program match.

Approval of an interlocal agreement between the county and state’s Division of Health and Human Services, Division of Developmental Services for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 in the sum of $5,500.

Approval of an interlocal contract between county and state’s Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, Medicaid Match Program for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 for a total projected contract not to exceed 8 cents of annual assessed value at $296,532 for FY 2018 and $301,258 for FY 2019.

Approval of a contract between the county and state’s Housing Division for $32,000 in tenant-based rental assistance funding to support homeless programming.

Recognition of the Fallon Lions Club for the upgrades to the Fallon Lions North Maine girls softball park.

Approval authorizing the human resources director to enter into an agreement on behalf of the county for a three-year contract renewal with NEOGOV for an applicant tracking system ($3,000 in FY 2018, $3,550 in FY 2019 and $3,850 in FY 2020).

Update from Enel Green Power North America on the progress made to block the glare coming from the EGP Stillater Solar PV I plant located at 4638 Lawrence Lane and a determination of the nuisance complaint filed by Candy Peck.

The county’s debt management policy as of June 30, 2017.

Appointment of Jo Petteruti to the Library Board of Trustees to fill the unexpired term of Rebecca Taylor through March 31, 2019.

Review and approval of an application for a federal assistance grant of $20,000 through the USDA for new work stations and a second fingerprint machine for the Sheriff’s Office.

Approval designating the Churchill County Courthouse as the location for auctions of real property.

Appointments to the Churchill County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife: reappointment of Jim Curran for a three-year term (Aug. 1, 2017 through July 31, 2020), appointment of Jason Sibley to fill the unexpired term of Jesse Lattin (through July 31, 2019) and appointment of Timothy Gubler for a four-year term (Aug. 1, 2017 to July 31, 2020).

Approval of the Churchill County Communications Tower Management Agreement between the county and CC Communications.

Approval of a lease agreement renewal with Domestic Violence Intervention for use of space in the Churchill County Annex Building.

Update on Wild Goose Ranch which is leased to Soaring Eagle Ranch, LLC and authorization for the District Attorney’s Office to take steps to protect this asset, including taking steps to terminate the lease and potential legal action against the lessee.
